My very first road trip with Pete and Jo heading from Bangkok to Hua Hin (February 2017). I'd just recently moved to Thailand full time in 2016. I bought a 2017 Ninja 650 and this was my first time riding again in over a decade. At first I found Bangkok traffic very intimidating and even scary. When lane splitting in traffic jams (and traffic jams are everywhere in Bangkok) you need to know where your mirrors are relative to car mirrors sticking out. And if you're in the center you'll be blocking 20 guys on scooters behind you trying to get past. This isn't a concern of mine these days but was stressful at the time looking back on it. Down to the trip details: We left Bangkok at 5am and headed for Pa La-U Waterfall in Phetchaburi and spent a few hours there hiking and swimming. Beautiful spot with freshwater fish swimming all around. We did some twisty riding in the area before heading to Chaam to Check-in at Radisson Blu resort. -- Mitch
