This was our first Mae Hong Song Trip, Originally planned to go with the 3 of us but due to Jo breaking his arm it was only Mitch and I that went on this trip. Mitch had the BMW S1000RR and I had the Honda CB500F On the first day we rode from Bangkok to Mae Sot following the 1 highway and taking the 1175 route to Mae Sot. In Mae Sot we arrived during a bike event which we attended then had a early night as we had a lot of riding the next day. On the second day we left early in the morning as we were headed to Pai (in hindsight this was a lot futher than we thought). Taking us around 10 hours of nonstop twisty roads. As fun as it was for the first 6 hours by the time we arrived in Pai we were both in a lot of pain. On the 3rd day we headed to Chiang Mai, it was a relatively short 2 and a half hour ride. Since we were staying at Chiang Mai for 2 nights I decided to ride the Samroeng Loop which took a little under 2 hours. On the 5th day we headed to Pitanulok for the final night before riding back to Bangkok on the 6th day. - Pete
