A 7 day motorbike road trip with Jo and Pete and myself. One of the most interesting we have done thus far, exploring parts of Thailand we hadn't seen before. Leaving Bangkok we took highway 32, 117 and the 101 heading for Nan. Staying at Nan Seasons Resort for 2 nights. Nan is a truly a beautiful part of Thailand and offers some of best roads and best scenery for riders. We love the people in this area it's such a beautiful place for both the culture and tasty local food. Leaving Nan for Loei in North East Thailand we took an extremely rural route following the Laos border. We took roads 1083, 1268 to Loei. 5 hours riding this route we didn't see a single car. This is pure jungle and you can't get more rural. You need to be riding this area with a group and reliable motorcycles. Reached our Hotel in Loei late afternoon and checked in and all slept like a baby. The following day headed to Udon Thani and then Khon Kaen before heading back to Bangkok. -- Mitch
